NorthVet sources product from the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Drug companies and other manufacturers sell products at a cheaper price outside the USA.
This, together with the relative strength of the US dollar, and our lower overheads (such as rents and government taxes) means we are able to pass considerable savings on to our customers.
All our products are genuine and with the longest expiry dates currently available (most have at least a year or two before expiry).

- How long will my order take to arrive?
To keep our prices down, many of our products are shipped from outside the USA. Most customers will receive their orders in 7 to 10. We say to allow up to 3 weeks for delivery to the USA. Many of our customers in the United States report receiving their order in under a week! Actual delivery time depends on a number of factors including the amount of mail the post office has to process at the time and whether or not you live in a metropolitan area.

- How much does postage cost?

- Do I need a prescription to order from you?
The products we sell (such as Revolution and Heartgard) are shipped from a jurisdiction where no prescription is required. Therefore you do not require a prescription for any products found on this site.

- I want to change my order, what do I need to do?
Please contact us immediately by emailing our dispatch team at dispatch@NorthVet.com. We try to dispatch orders as soon as possible and often dispatch on the same day as the order is made, so its important that you let us know of any changes as soon as possible.

- Is Shopping with NorthVet secure?
Buying online from NorthVet is safe and reliable. To ensure your payments are secure we use the latest available 128 bit encryption technology (also known as SSL Technology). Your credit card details are never sent by email and we will never disclose your details to anyone without your permission. Payment processing is conducted by PayPal, an eBay company or Worldpay (Visa and Master Card), part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

Due to restrictions imposed by the manufacturer, unfortunately we do not sell Novartis made products such as Interceptor, Sentinel, Capstar and Program.

- I am having trouble accessing your shopping cart, what am I doing wrong?
The main reason you will have trouble accessing the shopping cart is due to the cookies setting on your computer. Depending on your security settings you may need to allow cookies from our site. To do this at the top of the screen in your web browser, click on "Tools" then "Internet Options" then "Privacy" and then "Sites." Once in the "sites" screen, type in www.northvet.com, click on "allow" and then click on "OK" and close your screen. You should also add www.paypal.com at the same time as cookies are required from paypal to complete payment. If you are still having problems ordering, please send us an email via our contact us page.

- I'm not happy with my order, what can I do?
If for any reason you are not happy with any products you order when you receive them, send us an email (info@NorthVet.com) and tell us why and then just return it (unopened in the original packaging) for a replacement or refund.

- Are your products counterfeit?
All the products we made are official versions manufactured by the same manufacturer who makes the equivalent product for the USA. For example all Frontline Plus made by Merial and sold throughout the world is manufactured in the one factory in Toulouse in France. All the vials are made exactly the same and then stamped with the appropriate regulatory information depending on which market it is being sold in. The US version has FDA approved packaging while, for example the Australian version has it's own regulating authorities approved packaging. Recently some US based pet product suppliers have imported product from outside of the USA for sale in the USA. The products are authentic product made by Merial but as these products are made for sale outside of the USA they do not have the correct FDA packaging. Some unscrupulous vendors have even had the packaging modified to resemble the USA version of the products, to pass them off as the local version of the product. This is not legal. The EPA classifies such product as counterfeit and are trying to stop this practice. If you were to purchase such a product from a store in the USA you would be technically purchasing counterfeit product. NorthVet does not do this and does not condone this practice. We are able to provide on our site the Frontline Plus made by the same manufacturers in the same factories as that sold in the USA, but as we are based outside the USA, all products we sell have international packaging. We purchase directly from the wholesalers which Merial have authorized to distribute their product for them in this country. Customers in the USA are able to legally purchase these products from us and use these products legally on their own pets. The advantage to you of purchasing your Frontline Plus from us is that these products are effectively exactly the same as those you purchase locally in the USA but you can save a great deal of money! Due to the strength of the US dollar we are able to sell these products a lot cheaper than you could otherwise purchase them in the USA. The international versions of the EPA and FDA are equally as strict as their counterparts in the USA. The instructions for use and safety directions are in English, the color coding of the pack sizes are the same as in the USA but you should note that the sizes are written in the metric system and care should be taken that the appropriate dose is given.

- What's the difference between Advantage and Advocate?
Advantage controls fleas only while the new Advocate controls fleas but also contains an ingredient which prevents heartworm in dogs, treats demodectic mange, sarcoptic mange, ear mites and lice. If you are using Advantage only, you will also need a heartwormer such as Heartgard or Valuheart. Neither Advantage or Advocate controls gastro-intestinal worms, and you should also worm your pets once every 3 months with an allwormer such as Drontal or Popantel.

- What's the difference between Advocate and Revolution?
Advocate is just as effective as Revolution at controlling fleas and preventing heartworm, but if your dog swims a lot, or you bath him more than once a fortnight, the flea control component may not last the full month. Revolution also has an effect against some of the gastro-intestinal worms which Advocate does not cover, therefore you will need to give an allwormer tablet such as the Drontal or Popantel every 3 months if using Advocate.
Revolution controls ear motes and sarcoptic mange mite as does the Advocate however Advocate also has an effect against demodectic mange mite.
