A tablet for the control of all common gastrointestinal worms, includeing roundworms, hookworms and tapeworm in cats and kittens. The ingredients in Popantel Cat are Praziquantel and Pyrantel which are also found in the Drontal Feline tablets. Popantel Cat can be considered generic Drontal Feline as both tablets treat the same worms in cats however the Popantel treats a larger size compared to the Drontal Feline.

Popantel cat is suitable for pregnant and lactating queens and is safe to use on kittens from 2 weeks of age. The dosage is 1 tablet per 5 kgs or 1 tablet per 11 lbs bodyweight. Kittens and small cats less than 5 lbs should be given half a tablet while cats between 6 and 11lbs are given a full tablet.

A common worming regime for cats is to worm kittens every 2 weeks of age from 2 weeks old until 12 weeks, monthly from 3 months until 6 months of age and then every 3 months as an adult cat.
